Smith & Wesson Model 66

The Smith & Wesson Model 66 is a K frame revolver chambered in .357 Magnum and .38 S&W Special +P that continues a design line in use since 1899. It uses a 4.25 inch stainless steel barrel and holds a six shot capacity in a single and double action configuration. Matte stainless construction covers the frame, barrel, and cylinder while a red ramp front sight and white outline adjustable rear sight support target acquisition and adjustment.

The design includes a full top strap with barrel serration, ball detent lock up, and a two piece barrel for improved strength and alignment. Synthetic black finger grooved grips provide a firm hold and the overall length measures 9.6 inches at a weight of 36.9 ounces. These features support consistent function across a range of loads from standard .38 Special to full .357 Magnum.

This model suits shooters who want a proven medium frame revolver for competition, home protection, or recreational use. The combination of adjustable sights, stainless durability, and dual caliber capability allows flexible performance in different roles. Its K frame heritage and modern refinements make it a practical choice for users seeking reliability in a classic package.
